Seriously Save Chuck

NBC had better renew this ish after all the time my friend and I just spent on making this video. Hope you like.

Here's the song if you want the tune for your hard drive.

If you'd like to download the video, you can do so here. I tried uploading the video to Mediafire, but it kept getting stuck during the verification process. So this is what we're stuck with for now.

Chuckles!!

My favoritest band of the moment was on Chuck. W00t. Alex Patsavas sure knows what she's doing. You can listen to and download Blind Pilot's track "3 Rounds and a Sound" here. That is all. Oh yeah, and I've added the song to my own mp3 player as well, more convenient that way if you just want to listen. Carry on!

PS.: NBC had better renew Chuck or I'm gonna be crazy annoyed. For serious.

Day'N'Nite

I wrote about Kid Cudi kind of a long time ago, but I was just browsing through videos over at Motionographer and stumbled on the video to his song "Day 'N' Nite". It's got a really cool blend of live action sequences and some hand drawn illustrations that you should have a quick look at. I'm still liking the chill sound of the song too, so that's a plus :)

And back to Chuck. Tomorrow night is the last episode of the season. Watch it! I'm not kidding. Fanks.

Creature Fear

More Bon Iver on Chuck last night. "Creature Fear" is off his older album For Emma, Forever Ago, but it's a really cute song. You can listen to it (and download it, if you so choose) here.

Also next week is the last episode of Chuck of the season and potentially ever. If you still haven't gotten around to watching it - you're missing out big time. I'm glad I listened to my friend and started watching, plus there's always great music to look forward to :) Hope you like this particular Bon Iver track!

Edit: I've also added the song to my own little mp3 player. I've been listening to a lot of Bon Iver lately, so it's about time he was included.

^^Chuck^^

I'm pimping Chuck yet again. It's awesome and totally worth your time. If you've never seen it, watch it this Monday at 8/7c on NBC. It's the second to last episode of the season (and potentially of the series). So if you're a Nielsen family, tune in and help to convince the network to pick it up for the fall season. I'd be really happy :D And if you're not, you should be watching anyway because it's that good. (Incidentally, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother and House will all be repeats, so you have zero excuses not to be watching Chuck.) Awesome.

So on to the music. My friend sent me a link to a music blog the other day and after browsing the archives for a bit I found Erik Hassle. It's fairly recent stuff and here's why I like it. "Hurtful" is the kind of pop song that makes you want to turn up the speakers until your whole house is jumping and then sing along as loudly as you can, no matter how tone deaf you may be. It's like all those time you blasted "Since U Been Gone" from your car stereo. Except that Hassle isn't so much Kelly Clarkson as an awkward looking, skinny and really white kid from Sweden. If you want proof of that check out the smexy video to "Hurtful" here. That's also the spot where you can get an mp3 of the song (and two other tracks) for your computah.

Hope you like the track and don't forget to watch Chuck!!

Scrounging

I recently had a look at all the cool music that was in the archives over at Untitled Records and I found this one great song: "The Clockwise Witness" by Devotchka. The song has beautifully arranged strings, as all my favorite songs do. You should just have a listen to it and you will hear why it's so great. Go here and scroll to the bottom of the post to listen to and/or download the song.

Also, and this is sort of really old news, since the album has been out since 2006, but Ed Harcourt deserves a mention. I heard the song "Shadowboxing" on TV somewhere a while back and it stuck in my head, because it was just the right amount of catchy without being annoying. After a limited amount of research I found it on the interwebs, so everyone can have a listen. You may check it out here.

Akron/Family

I just found a nice song by a band called Akron/Family. The tune is called "River" and you can get it here.

Blind Aviator

I posted about Blind Pilot a few days ago and directed everyone to here, where you can get two of the duo's songs. As it turns out, after listening to the whole album, I have become even more enchanted with the group's music. Their song "The Story I Heard" has been added to the mp3 player to the right, so now you officially have no excuse not to listen to them.

Enjoy. In the meantime I am going to go to sleep and ready myself mentally for the delicious pancake breakfast that will await me tomorrow morning :) Yay for Sundays!

Fleet Foxes

Apparently I have never posted about Fleet Foxes, which is a bit of a shame because they're really wonderful. I just saw that a song off their Sun Giant EP is now available here. You can also get their song "White Winter Hymnal" off their self-titled album at the same place. Fleet Foxes do a lot of very rich vocal harmonies that are just a real pleasure to listen to.

Helene

So the last time I headed over to Untitled Records, I found a great song by Helene called "International Klein Blue". I forgot to mention it in my post about stuff from that site (which included the awesome songs by Blind Pilot), but better late than never, right? You can get the Helene song here. Hope you like.
